In 1999, Congress passed new privacy regulations for banks as part of the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act. This regulation requires banks to disclose their privacy practices to their customers.  Be assured that Clearfield Bank and Trust Company will treat your personal private information with confidentiality and safety.  For your reference, following is our Privacy Policy.

Clearfield Bank and Trust Company collects nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
• Information we receive from you on applications or other forms
• Information about your transactions with us or others and
• Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information** about you to anyone, except as permitted by law, such as sending information returns to the Internal Revenue Service, responding to subpoenas, search warrants and providing information to consumer reporting agencies, i.e. credit bureaus.

We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.

Clearfield Bank and Trust Company restricts access to your personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.  The Bank maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

** Nonpublic personal information consists of:

1. Personally identifiable financial information that is not publicly available information,  i.e. social security numbers, address, income, net worth.

2. Lists, descriptions, or other groupings of consumers that were either:
     a. created using personally identifiable financial information that is not publicly available information, or
     b. contains personally identifiable financial information that is not publicly available information.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT

To help the government fight the funding on terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means to you: We will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
