A Certificate of Deposit (CD) is a savings option that pays a higher rate of interest compared to traditional savings option. Other features include:

     � Terms (length of time on deposit) can accommodate short-term needs and up to 10 years

     � Minimum deposit is required

     � Money must stay in CD until the term expires or an early withdrawal
